Chennai, Oct 3 (IANS): Ram Charan-starrer "Govindudu Andarivadele", which opened to mixed reviews from critics, managed to register a good opening at the box office in the country. According to trade experts, the long holiday weekend will help it become a hit.
"The film managed to collect Rs.12.83 crore on the first day in India. Since it released on Wednesday and has managed to register good numbers, its likely have a successful opening weekend thanks to the festival season," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
Directed by Krishna Vamsi, "Govindudu Andarivadele" is about a foreign-returned grandson who mends a strained relationship between his grandfather and his father.
Reportedly made on a budget of Rs.30 crore, the film also features Kajal Agarwal, Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Jayasudha, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Rao Ramesh and Aadarsh Balakrishna in important roles.
