Mangalore, Oct 1: The new showroom of Bhima Jewellers was inaugurated near SCS Hospital, Bendore on Wednesday October 1 at 11 am.
The showroom was inaugurated by N Vinaya Hegde, chairman, NITTE Group of Institutions.
Speaking on the occassion N Vinaya Hegde, said, "I thank God and Bhima Jewellers for giving me this opportunity to inaugurate the new showroom. I wish Bhima Jewellers will grow to greater hights and become helpful to Mangloreans."
Rashmi, CEO of Bhima in her speech, said, "I thank all who came here for the inauguration and we expect the support of Mangalore."
Dr Ashajyothi Rai of Aasare Charitable Trust (R) said, "Gold is not only an ornament but also can be a investment. I feel happy that Bhima Jewellers has come to Mangalore and wish a successful run in the coming days."
The first sale of gold was made to Dr Ashajyothi Rai of Aasare Charitable Trust (R) while the first sale of diamond was made to Vaishnavi V Kamath, partner, Mangala Cashew Industries.
Bhima has come to Mangalore with its 89 years of heritage and a promise of purity.
Bhima Bhattar was born in 1904 in Udupi and in 1925 he founded Bhima Jewellery in Alleppey, Kerala. Today, 89 years later, Bhima has grown to be one of the most respected jewellers of South India and have successfully shaped themselves into a brand that stands for purity and trust.
B Krishnan, son of Bhima Bhattar expanded Bhima to the garden city Bangalore in 1999 at Dickenson Road. In time, the brand soon opened five more showrooms across the city with the latest one being at Phoenix Marketcity, Whitefield.
B Krishnan, managing partner of Bhima Jewellers, Vishnu Sharan K Bhatt, partner, Bhima Jewellers, chief manager Srinivasan and production manager Ramesh were also present on the occasion.
