Mangalore: Thieves break into an advocate’s office

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (RJP)

Mangalore, Sep 26: The thieves broke into the office of advocate Santosh Aithal on Wednesday night on the thickly populated Udupi Mangalore road.

The incident took place at Kulai near Suratkal. The advocate had gone to his nearby house after locking his office. Later at unknown time, the thieves had broken into the office using pickaxe. As the cash was not found, the thieves left the advocate’s office empty handed.

It should be remembered that only last week the thieves had managed to steal 130 grams of gold and Rs. 10000 cash from Ramesh D Salian’s house in the same area.

Suratkal area has become notorious these days for thefts. The hand of inter-state gang is also suspected. The rapid urbanisation of the area and easy accessibility are the main factors blamed to have contributed to the occurrence of constant crimes.

The recent transfer of a crime specialist has been happy news for thieves.
