Mangalore, Sep 28: The first annual celebrations of Bandhavya, the federation of NGOs of Mangalore diocese, was held at CODP-ISD Hall at Nanthoor near here on Thursday September 28 morning.
The celebrations were inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada ZP president Mamata Gatti. Earlier Fr Arun Lobo, vice-chairperson of Bandhavya escorted the guests to the dais.
Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore presided over the celebrations. Bandhavya secretary Fr Onil D'Souza presented the annual report of Bandhavya before the gathering.
A workshop on "Right to Information Bill" too was organized on the occasion. Noted Human rights activist Dr Unnikrishnan and renowned social activist Harsha D'Souza were the resource person for the workshop.
Bandhavya chairperson Sr Michelle welcomed the gathering while Victor Vas proposed the vote of thanks. Fr Arun Lobo compered the programme.
