Udupi, Sep 27: In order to celebrate World Tourism Day meaningfully, the tourism department has organized a cleanliness drive and a programme to create awareness on tourism at Malpe beach on Sep 27.
 
By bringing several stake holders in promoting tourism towards the cause of maintaining cleanliness at the beaches, the tourism department has planned this programme.

Udupi Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj will inaugurate the drive at Malpe beach.

NSS volunteers of Government Women’s P U College, members of regional tourism office, representatives from Karvali Hotel, Poornima Travels, Gayathri Travels, Ashlesha Hotel and Viveka Travels will be participating in the programme.
