Kinnigoli SVP Celebrates Patron’s Feast

Mangalore, Sep 25: Members of St Vincent Paul Society (SVP) of Immaculate Conception Church at Kinnigoli near here celebrated the feast of their patron St Vincent D’Paul on Sunday September 24 in the Church hall.   Fr Patrick Rodrigues, parish priest and Fr Anil D’Silva, assistant parish priest of Kinnigoli church, were present on the occasion.

Fr Patrick congratulated the members of SVP for helping the poor and needy people of the foster families of the SVP.

Aveline Dantis, president, Kinnigoli SVP, welcomed the guests.  Lawrence D’Souza conducted the prayer session, while Joachim D’Souza compered the programme.

Seminar on Language, Culture and Tradition Held

Mangalore, Sep 25: A seminar on language, culture and tradition was organized by the Catholic Sabha Kinnigoli unit ‘Ujwal’, a ladies organization was held at Little Flower School at Kinnigoli near here on Sunday September 24.  

Fr Patrick Rodrigues inaugurated the function. Valerian Sequeira, vice-president of the church, president over.

Resource person Alphonse D’Costa, past president, Catholic Sabha’s central unit, explained about the rich culture, tradition and appealed to continue without any modernization. Dolphy Lobo, president, Konkani Writers Forum, spoke on language and literature.

Robert Fernandes, president, Catholic Sabha, welcomed the guests.  Eric Pais proposed the vote of thanks.  Lorna D’Souza compered the programme.
