Mangalore, Sep 24: The feast of St Pio was celebrated with great religious fervour at St Ann’s Friary, Kodialbail on Sep 23. A solemn mass was celebrated at 6 pm by Fr Jossy Fernandes, Provincial minister, Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka.

More than 25 priests concelebrated during the mass.

In preparation of the feast St Pio’s novena was conducted every Wednesday in the Friary. A three-day retreat was also organized which was preached by Fr Franklyn and his team. More than 100 people participated in the retreat which had special prayers for the sick and the aged.

The grand feast on Saturday was participated by over 500 people. On the occasion, a devotional music album Chetana by Fr Agnel D’Cunha was released by Fr Jossy.

Fr Joachim D’Souza, superior of the Friary thanked all the donors of the feast.

The melodious choir was conducted by Fr Ben and Fr Francis with Br Hilario and the postulants.
