Mangalore, Sep 23: MLA N Yogish Bhat inaugurated the 'Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre' at Fr Muller Hospital here on the occasion of World Heart Day celebration on Saturday September 23 morning.

Earlier he also inaugurated two-day-long heart exhibition organized by Fr Muller Medical College Hospital was inaugurated former administrator Fr Lawrence D'Souza.  The heart exhibition will be held on Saturday September 23 and Sunday 24.  The exhibition is being organized with a view to create awareness among the public and educate persons who are prone to cardiac disease owing to sedentary lifestyle.

Heart specimens, heart disease details and treatment modalities etc have been displayed. This exhibition will enable people to understand the risk of heart problems and the availability of medical health and treatment at the right time.

Suratkal MLA Krishna Palemar J was the guest of honour on the occasion while Fr Muller Charitable Institutions director Fr Baptist Menezes presided over the function. Krishna Palemar also released the cardiac care cards on the occasion.

Administrator Fr Denis D'Sa, chief interventional cardiologist Dr H Prabhakar and dean Dr B Sanjeev Rai were also present on the dais.

Fr Denis D'Sa welcomed the gathering while Dr B Sanjeev Rai proposed the vote of thanks. 

 A mime show by the Fr Muller students was organized after the stage programme.
