Mangalore, Sep 21: Fr Muller Charitable Institution is holding a Heart Exhibition in the campus on Sep 23 and 24 2006 in view of World Heart Day celebration.

This exclusive heart exhibition is being held with an aim to create awareness in the general public and to educate people who are prone to heart disease because of sedentary life style.

At the exhibition the faculty of Fr Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) will display heart specimens, heart disease details and treatment modalities. This exhibition will enable people to understand the risk of heart problems and the availability of medical health and treatment at the right time, informed Fr Denis D’Sa administrator of FMCI in a press conference here on Thursday

The Heart Exhibition will be held in the Fr Muller premises on Sep 23 and 24 from 9.30 am to 6 pm

Dr V S Acharya minister for Medical Education and Animal Husbandry, will inaugurate the programme on Sep 23 in the Academy hall of Fr Muller hospital at 9.30 am

Fr Baptist Menezes director FMCI will preside over the function.

Mangalore MLA N Yogish Bhat, Suratkal MLA J Krishna Palemar will be the guests of honour

A live radio transmission is organized on Sunday Sep 24 from 8.35 am to 9.05 am. The event will also be broadcast on Namma TV from 11 to 11.50 am on Sunday Sep 24.

On this occasion a complete heart check up which includes cardiologist consultation, ECG, ECHO, TMT and Blood tests are conducted at highly subsidized cost, he added.
