Mangalore, Sep 21: John Prasad Menezes has been unanimously elected as the president of the governing council of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for 2006-07.

At the 65th annual general body meeting of the KCCI the new office-bearers were elected on Wednesday.

Kumble Narasimha Prabhu was elected vice-president, M Ahmed Bava was elected treasurer and M Shekhar Pujari and Srinivas S Kamath were elected honorary secretaries.
