Udupi, Sep 11: A workshop on 'Environment and Journalism' was held at Vidyaniketan Group of Education Institutions at Kaup near here on Sunday September 10.
Correspondent of the institutions K P Acharya inaugurated the session which was held as part of Jaycee Week. Speaking on the occasion he made an appeal to the journalists to work towards building a corruption-free and healthy society. "Journalists have the power to change the course of any society, if they stick on the ethics," he added.
Addressing the gathering, Sadanand Hegde, resident editor of Usha Kirana Kannada daily said that environment and journalism are quite inseparable and they have the potential inspire each other.
Kaup Jaycee president Deepak Yermal presided over the programme. APMC president Vijay Kumar Udyavar was the chief guest on the occasion. Rakesh Kotian proposed the vote of thanks and Jagdish Achar compered the programme.
