Mumbai, Aug 25 (IANS): Opposition leaders called on RJD chief Lalu Prasad in a hospital here Monday after the RJD-Congress-JD-U alliance won six of the 10 Bihar assembly bypolls.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra Tourism Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, AICC Secretary Sanjay Nirupam, former Congress minister Kripa Shankar Singh, CPI-M leader Sitaram Yechury, Bihar Governor D.Y. Patil, senior NCP leader Praful Patel and others enquired about the health of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad who was Monday admitted to a hospital here for a routine check-up.
The doctor attending on him said there was "no cause for any panic".
"It was a scheduled medical evaluation and there is nothing to worry. After his reports are received later today (Monday), his family will decide future course of action," a spokesperson of the Asian Heart Institute (AHI), Bandra east, told IANS.
Lalu Prasad is under the supervision of AHI chief and renowned heart surgeon Ramakanta Panda.
