Mumbai, Aug 20: The Mumbai branch of Pejawara Mutt and the people of Santhcruz, celebrated Vitla Pindi, also known as 'Mosaru Kudike Utsava,' the festival denoting the childhood pranks of young Krishna, on Monday August 18, one like the way it happens in temple town Udupi.
Various cultural and religious programmes had been organized on the occasion. The idol of Lord Sri Krishna was taken out in colourful processions. Ashok Kodyadka balaga and Ramdas Kotyan Balaga also joined the procession.
The procession gained further glitter because of the presence of Huli Veshas and people donning various mythological characters. Sree Vishweshthirtha Swamiji and Sree Vishwaprasanna thirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt Udupi led the celebrations and blessed the devotees.
Chaturmasya swagata samithi president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, working president Dr M S Alva and others were present during the event.
From August 19 till 25 every evening at 5.30, Vidwan Kairabettu Vishwanath Bhatt will give Harikatha Kalaksepa and from 7 pm onwards Pejawar Swamaji will give the Baghvath Pravachana.
All devotees are requested to join in the meaningful celebration and get the blessings of lord Krishna.
