Nigerian held in Goa with drugs worth Rs.2.5 lakh


Panaji, Aug 9 (IANS): A Nigerian man was arrested Saturday in the beach village of Anjuna in Goa for possessing LSD and marijuana valued at Rs.2.5 lakh, police said.

A police spokesperson said Francis Ajaf (27) was arrested while trying to peddle the drugs to a client near Anjuna beach, 30 km from Panaji.

Ajaf, who was arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, has been sent to three days in police custody, the spokesperson said.
