Panaji, Aug 8: Throwing their full weight behind young tiatrist Tousif Sheikh (Tousif De Navelim) who has been reportedly receiving threatening calls from supporters of Sanathan Sanstha and Pramod Muthalik of Rama Sene, Savio Rodrigues, secretary and president (youth affairs) of Goa Su-Raj Party (GSRP), warned of slapping Muthalik if any harm was caused to Goan tiatrist.

"If any of Pramod Muthalik's followers or Sanathan Sanstha followers cause any harm to a Goan tiatrist, we will ensure that they pay for their actions hundred times the manner in which the harm has been meted. We shall go to Muthalik's house and slap him," he said.

Rodrigues further added, "Pramod Muthalik was a coward and is a coward that hides behind such blind supporters who act as his mouthpiece. If he is not a coward, we would invite him to watch the play in the presence of other Goans and let us see what he and his blind followers will do to any of the tiatrist in Goa.

"GSRP has been with Tousif since the start of the ordeal and we have ensured that all necessary protective measures through the government such as police and through our own security resources to ensure that no harm comes to Tousif and his troupe.

"The people of Goa are with Tousif, the play is about unity. Fanatics need to take their blinkers off before jumping to conclusion. Messages attacking Tousif being a Muslim is absolutely derogatory and communal, those are kinds of threat and messages he has been getting, Tousif is a GOAN and no Muthalik messes with GOANS," Rodrigues said.
