Mangalore : 'Sargam' to bring back yesteryear's musical memories

Mangalore, Aug 8 : Mangalore's top musical trio that has been entertaining audiences with yesteryear super hits over the last several years is once again set to revive the golden musical memories through 'Sargam', a musical evening on Sunday August 10 at Town Hall from 6 pm.
 
Srikant Kamath, who has several musical evenings to his credit in India and abroad and is popular among fans for rendering Mukesh and Kishore Kumar songs, is leading the troupe with multi-talented Anitha who mesmerises Town Hall every year with her magical voice. Her ability to sing non-stop for long durations has been widely appreciated by music lovers of Mangalore, and now she is once again here to render Lata Mangeshkar's super hit numbers of yesteryears as well duet songs with male singers. Ranjandas is another popular singer who has performed in India and abroad with his classic voice, capable of rendering songs of top singers of bollywood.
 
 


 
 
"Every year we receive tremendous response from the music lovers from in and around Mangalore. This is our unique show as we bring the most popular songs from the 1960s to 1980s. The entry to the show is totally free, but to control the audience number, we have reserved 50% of the seats for invitees and rest for the general audience," says Srikant Kamath.
 
Prem, a noted compere with sea of knowledge in bollywood music and decades of experience will once again host the show.
 
Prior to the programme there will be a short inaugural ceremony at 6 pm. Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld Group will inaugurate the event. Naresh Shenoy, State Bank of Mysore, Kottara Chowki branch Mangalore, Leo Rodrigues, NRI entreprenuer, Abu Dhabi, Vaman Maroli, president of Karnataka Rajya Devadiga Sangha, Mangalore will be the guests of honour.

    In abu dhabi they performed splendidly " Ek Shaam Rajesh Khanna ke naam". They are great singers.Hope to hear more Rajesh khanna songs this time.
