Mumbai, Aug 7: Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan has congratulated the sports persons from Maharashtra who won medals at the Commonwealth Games at Glasgow.
In a congratulatory message the Governor said, "I congratulate all the sports persons from India who have brought laurels to the country by winning medals at the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow. The performance of sports persons from Maharashtra at the games was encouraging. I congratulate Rahi Sarnobat and Ayonika Paul (shooting), Ganesh Mali, Chandrakant Mali and Omkar Otari (weight lifting) who won medals at Glasgow. I also congratulate the coaches and other members of the team. I wish and hope that sports persons from Maharashtra will put up excellent performance at the Asian Games to be held in South Korea next month."
