Kuwait, Aug 4 : Music is a hobby for Laveena and Anil Pais, who live and work in Kuwait. Producing a Konkani music album despite professional and family committments is a commendable achievement by this young couple.
After the launch of their successful devotional music album 'Krist Amcho Rai' under the banner of Kenal Veen Productions five years back, Anil and Laveena are now all set to release their second album 'Poilo Mog' on August 14 at Kalaangann, Mangalore.
Unlike the first album, the new one comprises socially-relevant songs penned by different Konkani poets like Wilson Kateel, Vivian D'Silva, Austine Salins, Joel Attur, Melwyn Peris and Laveena Pais.
The couple has given opportunity to Chennai-based talented singer Nakul Abhyankar. Along with young music composer-singer Prajoth D'Sa, veteran singers Melwyn Peris, Anitha D'Souza, Rony D'Cunha, Adolf Jayatilak, Dr Prashant Raj, Rony Crasta, Naveen Ranjith, Gulf Voice of Mangalore 2010 winner Gladys Lorena and couple Anil and Laveena themselves have rendered their melodious voices for the album.
The music has been arranged by another bunch of talented musicians - Dolvin Kolalgiri, Roshan D'Souza, Melwyn Lobo and Darrel Mascarenhas.
"Poilo Mog is going to be a sensational experience, taking you on a journey packed with love, emotional and upbeat songs, composed, lyricized, arranged and sung by renowned talented artistes," says Anil Pais.
"Working in Kuwait, sparing free time to Konkani music is not easy, but our passion for music has brought us to this level," says Laveena Pais, who was the finalist in 2012 Gulf Voice of Mangalore which was held in Doha-Qatar. She has already renedered her voice to many audio albums and live shows in different languages.
Apart from being an accomplished singer, Anil Pais also plays musical instruments.
