Michael Caine to be honoured

London, Aug 4 (IANS): Actor Michael Caine will be honoured at a special event here in October this year.

The British actor will be interviewed live on stage at the Royal Albert Hall by chat show host Jonathan Ross during the event, entitled "A Night Out With... Sir Michael Caine", reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Clips from his most famous movies will be played on screens while musical scores from his films will be performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.

Singers Joss Stone and Lance Ellington will deliver renditions of tracks from "Alfie", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and "The Italian Job", while other acting friends will drop by to honour Caine.

All profits from the evening will go to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).

The actor chose the charity and said, "When I was a little boy I was evacuated for a couple of weeks (during World War II) and I was very ill-treated, so I've always wanted to help children and I'm happy to support the NSPCC".
