Shklon, Do not make fun by writing "lucky mallus". You must know, other than the passengers, there about 15-20 members of crew, who need not be mallus only and also there may be many other nationalities who travel for leisure trip, since kerala is a tourism hub. To your surprise, you never know, one of your relatives/friends may also be in the flight. Regardless who is travelling, everybody's life is important to them and their loved ones.

Tyre burst are common while landing. These things dont kill people in modern aircraft.Aircrafts are tested and certified to land with deflated/Burst tyre.So there is no need for everyone to overreact.I Agree if there was a landing gear failure or something.

It seems Air India likes to give a free publicity gift to every passenger flying by its airline .. not the Maharajah status .. but a rude shock of life - that is ''risking their own lives'' at their expense. It seems to have become a habit now and passengers are well adapted to accept it gracefully. Otherwise why would this airline be in the news for all wrong reasons.
