Mumbai, Aug 2: Matrubhoomi Cooperative Credit Society managed by Batara Sangha, Mumbai celebrated their 26th anniversary at Radhabhai T Bhandary hall, Bantara Bhavana, Bhandary estate in Kurla east recently. Society executive president Ratnakar Shetty Mundkoor presided over the programme.
Bantara Sangha president and society director CA Shanker B Shetty lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion.
Society directors Ikala Harish Shetty, Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, Dr Prabhakar Shetty B, Mahesh S Shetty, Ratnakar G Shetty, Koshorekumar M Shetty, Nagriguthu Vivek Shetty, Karunakar M Shetty, Mundappa S Payyade, Uma K Shetty, Santhosh M Jawaddale and Bunts Association president Shyama N Shetty were present on the dais.
"The responsibility of converting a cooperative society into a cooperative bank has increased. We are determined to start a bank for
bunts. The banking system is facing severe competition at present and we will be confronting all the challenges to start Matrubhoomi
Cooperative Bank Limited. With all of your cooperation, Mathrabhoomi board of directors will thrive to create history in the financial
sector," said society president Ratnakar Shetty.
"Our aim is to start a Bunts bank which will make the bank the wealth of Bunts. The present managing committee is preparing to face
all challenges as per rules by the RBI and the society. We have also decided to make it function with Mumbai as the center," said Shanker Shetty.
Former executive presidents, senior manager of the society, Mallika P Shetty, Shashikala S Shetty, managers Kishore M Patil, Shanker B Shetty and others were present. Vice president Ulthooruguthu Mohandas Shetty welcomed. Honourary secretary Jayarama A Shetty compered the programme and explained the activities of the society. Honorary treasurer CA Ramesh B Shetty presented the accounts. Jaya A Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
