Bangalore, Jul 30: Former chief minister of Karnataka and current MLA, H D Kumaraswamy, has decided to lose weight with medical intervention, it is gathered. The JD(S) leader has planned to get treated at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore towards bringing his body weight to desirable level.

Mount Elizabeth Hospital was in the news on several occasions in the past, including once when superstar, Rajinikanth, got admitted there after prolonged illness, and recently, when sandalwood actor and state minister, Ambareesh, went there for treatment.

It is reliably learnt that Kumaraswamy will travel to Singapore along with wife, Anita Kumaraswamy during August. The couple's stay there will be of about three months duration, during which time, Kumaraswamy will not only be treated, but also get rest and recuperation, it is learnt.

Kumaraswamy's close friends have arranged a flat at Singapore for his stay during his visit, it is said. He will stay put in this flat, follow the diet and other instructions that may be given by the doctor, and will visit the hospital as and when there is need to conduct health checks and tests. It is said that he already has obtained extensive information on the treatment he will undergo to lose weight, through the facility of video conferencing with the doctors of the said hospital, it is said.
