Mangalore, Jul 25: Three persons had a providential escape on Friday July 25 after their car went out of control and plunged about 10 feet off the road near Kallapu, close to Netravati bridge.

Two girls and a young man, all students of a private medical college at Deralakatte, were driving towards Mangalore in an Innova car, when the accident took place.

It is said that when they reached near the Netravati bridge, the youth who was driving the car lost control of the vehicle and it plunged about 10 feet off the road.

The car was completely damaged, but luckily the occupants escaped with minor injuries.

Following the accident, traffic on the highway was affected for about an hour. Ullal police arrived at the spot and cleared the gridlock.
