Mangalore, Aug 12: After a 15-year-long ordeal the Karavali Writers and Readers Forum of DK and Kasargod (Karavali Lekakiyara –Vachakiyara Sangha) will be shifting to its new building shortly.
The new building will be inaugurated here on August 19, informed forum president Rathna G K Shetty on Friday, Aug 11.
Former minister Leeladevi R Prasad will inaugurate the building and former union minister V Dhananjay Kumar will preside over the function.
Endeavouring towards promoting healthy literature, the forum was set up in 1987. The new building, which is constructed on a site given by the DK district administration, would contain an auditorium, a library and guest house. The building will be used for literary and cultural activities for local people with priority for the youth organisations, the president said.
