Los Angeles, July 11 (IANS): The camera for Kate Beckinsale's thriller “The Disappointments Room” will roll in August as the makers have finalised the financier for the movie.
Relativity Media and Media Talent Group have locked in financing and the former will distribute it worldwide. Robbie Brenner is overseeing the film on the studio's behalf and reports variety.com.
Beckinsale and director D.J. Caruso have been attached to the project since last fall.
Based on an original screenplay by Wentworth Miller, which Caruso re-wrote, the film will see Beckinsale play a mother who moves her family into a beautiful old rural home with a secret room in the attic. The discovery of a lost key unlocks a host of horrors.
Geyer Kosinski is producing, and Tucker Tooley and Demarest Films are executive producing the film.
