Mumbai, Jul 9: The sequel to Kangna Ranaut and R Madhavan starrer 'Tanu weds Manu' has been embroiled in quite a bit of controversy with one of the film's financiers staking his claim to the film's rights. However, director Anand L Rai has stood firm asserting that the sequel to the film is very much on the books and happening.
Now we hear that the south star Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut alongside Sonam Kapoor with the film 'Raanjhaana' ,that was incidentally also directed by Rai, will be seen doing a cameo in the sequel of 'Tanu Weds Manu'. However, though the details of Dhanush's cameo are sketchy, there is a possibility of him either doing small scene or appearing in a song.
The sequel will also have the same star cast. 'Tanu Weds Manu' was released in 2011 to an excellent response worldwide. The movie was made on a small budget of Rs 18 crores and it collected three times of its budget.
