'Etyel Gresthkai' to focus on works of late A T Lobo on July 27

Mangalore, July 7: A T Lobo Foundation, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and Rakno Konkani weekly newspaper have jointly proposed to conduct a unique Konkani programme titled 'Etyel Gresthkai' (The Wealth of A T Lobo).

The programme on the literary works of famous Konkani author late A T Lobo will be held at the Bishop's House hall, Bishop's House, Kodialbail in the city on July 27 at 10 am.


Roy Castelino, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy will preside over the programme. Fr Mark Walder, former editor of Rakno Konkani weekly, will be the chief guest of the programme and will speak on his relationship with the author, 'Etyel ani Hanv' (A T Lobo and me).

Dr Edward Nazareth, well-known Konkani writer will speak on 'Tun Boro Za,' a novel written by A T Lobo. Carmelita D'souza,a Konkani actress will speak on 'Aunkar Avoi' (spinster mother), a drama written by the late author.

Fr Melvin Pinto, Neerude, Konkani critic will speak about 'Hardyar Khuris' (Cross on the chest) and 'Reed', two stories written by late A T Lobo.

The organizers of the programme have cordially invited the Konkani speaking people to witness the thoughts of A T Lobo's literature; to
derive inspiration from it and proclaim its glory.
