Udupi, Jul 5: Vinay Kumar Sorake, district-in-charge minister, has said that a science center at a cost of Rs 80 crore will be established in the district. He was speaking on Saturday July 5 after inaugurating an information center at the Thenkanidiyooru First Grade College.
He said that Rs 80 crore was received under ‘Roosa’ plan to start a science center in the district and the necessary land will be sanctioned at Belapu.
Sorake said that there are many talented students in the district and in order for them to choose professional course, preparations are on to start three new ITI colleges. He added that permission to start a
medical college and a police training college has already been obtained.
He said that the dream of students to have an information center of the university has materialized. “Education is a sign of progress and maythe center throw light on the future of students,” said Sorake.
Professor P S Yadapadithaya of Mangalore University, who gave an introductory speech, said that the center will solve the problems of students such as marks cards, application fees, application forms, and necessary declarations.
