Ten children taken unwell in Goa school

Panaji, July 6 (IANS): Ten school children Saturday complained of giddiness during a laboratory experiment in Goa's Vasco town and were rushed to a hospital, a school spokesperson said.

They were later discharged after preliminary examination at the hospital in Chicalim village.

Students from St. Andrew's school in Vasco, a port town located 35 km from here, complained of giddiness after inhaling some gases in the laboratory while conducting experiments, said the school spokesperson.

"It was a routine experiment, but the children could have exposed themselves to certain gaseous substances in the laboratory," the spokesperson of St. Andrew's school said.
