Puttur, Jul 30: On a surprise visit to the Puttur taluk hospital, BJP state president D V Sadananda Gowda and Udupi MLA T Shakuntala Shetty took the officials to task for the based on the complaints from the public.

The public complained against the mismanagement at the hospital which is causing several inconveniences to the patients.

Gowda warned the officials with serious consequences if the hospital fails to provide proper facilities to the patients at the hospital.

A person who allegedly worked as an agent of private hospitals and guided patients to them was held by the visitors. Nazir who was entering the hospital was identified by the public. When Gowda and Shakuntala were told about this, they immediately called the police and had him taken into custody.

Nazir who denied the charges said that he occasionally visited the hospital to help some poor patients. He was also supported by the hospital staff.
