It is good to see that justice has been rendered by The Court and The Presiding officer has ordered K.S.R.T.C to pay a compensation of over Rupees eighteen lacs to the members of the deceased family.

However will the Transport Body make the payment immediately or will the family have to wait indefinitely to receive the compensation?

What if the driver doesnt have means to pay 18.7 lakhs!!! he will simply say he cant do it.. what will you then?! Sell his organs!!! Put him in jail!!! will the family then ever get the compensation?!!! He should be punished for his crime.. but we shouldnt let him go away scot free by paying off money. Then all rich people are going to wash away their foolish crimes with money.. you are okay with it?!

Instead court should have ordered KSRTC bus driver to pay the compensation. If court make KSRTC to pay the compensation, what it makes difference to the driver? Govt. and tax payers are the looser.

Good decision.. I hope KSRTC will pay it without appealing it to higher courts anymore. Moreover, they must make the driver pay this for rest of his life. For these kind of fatal accident the driver of the monster vehicle must be made equally responsible to pay the blood money.
