Chennai, June 2 (IANS): A Telugu film titled "Mahaganudu", which is in the offing, will be based on the life of late legendary Telugu actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). The funds from this film will be donated for the development of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh post-bifurcation.
"We are adapting the life story of NTR into a film. We will make it in such a way that it doesn't provoke any controversies or prejudices. The actor who will be reprising NTR in the film will be revealed soon," film's director D. Kumar Rajendra told IANS.
"The revenue generated from this film will be donated to the development of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. This is our way of contributing to the development of the state," he added.
The film will be jointly produced by Anil Sudhakar, N.B. Chowdhary and Krishna Rao.
NTR, one of the pioneers of Telugu filmdom, also served as the chief minister of the state after he floated the Telugu Desam Party.
