Mangalore, Jul 11: Former KPCC president and Rajya Sabha member B Janardhan Poojary on Monday July 10 criticized the officials for slow progress of Managudda-Ladyhill four lane road.
He was speaking after taking stock of the work on Monday at various places. He was visibly peeved by the alow pace of the work and took the officials to task. Though the work had begun some three months ago, work is going on at a snail's pace. This perhapps irritated Poojary who slammed the concerned persons for blocking the development of the city.
He asked the officials that they should set deadline to the contractors to complete the work. Any failure in this regard should be taken seriously and the contract should be terminated immediately and also action should be taken against such contractors, he said.
Mayhor K Ashraf, Congress leaders Kallige Taranath Shetty, spokesperson Harikrishna Bantwal, MCC commissioner Krishnappa, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde too were present on the occasion.
