Having been unarmed, Yadav then fled the campus. Since he was in uniform, nobody stopped him. He hailed an auto rickshaw and took it towards Borivli. However, he ran out of cash and had to stop in Goregaon on the Western Express Highway.
An alert beat marshal from Vanrai police station spotted him loitering in the area and took him into custody. Yadav then revealed everything to the police. The two victims were both from Haryana. The Air Force is conducting an internal inquiry in the matter.
