Mangalore, Jul 7: As part of its mission to popularize Vedic Mathematics among general public, the Vedaganita Adhyayana Vedike, Kundapur, will organize a ten-day campaign ‘Vedaganita Sangama – 2006, in the city from July 14 to 23.
MLC Balkrishna Bhat, general secretary, Vedaganita Sangama – 2006 Committee, addressing newspersons on Thursday July 6, informed that the campaign will consist of a one-hour seminar on Vedic Mathematics, which will be conducted by resource persons of the Vedike, in 108 high schools, pre-university colleges, degree colleges and public organizations in and around the city .
On the last day of the campaign on July 23, a day-long workshop and convention of participants of the seminars will be held at Town Hall here. A unique quiz on Vedic Mathematics will also be held, added Bhat claiming that it would be the first of its kind in the country.
S N Padiyar, director, Vedaganita Adhyayana Vedike, said that Vedic Mathematics is very simple when compared to Modern Mathematics. The Vedike has scheduled workshops for businessmen, students and engineers in the city in the days to come, he added.
