Mangalore, May 25: "The National Executive Council meeting of the ABVP (Akhila Bharatiya Vidhayarthi Parishad) will be held in city for four days from May 26 to 29.
"364 delegates from the country will attend this meeting. Resolutions on the various issues like the national scenario, educational issues, national security, security for women and the north east students all over India will be presented at this meet," said P Murali Manohar, the national president of ABVP addressing a press meet here on Sunday May 25.
"The organization will review the work done in the past as well as will plan for future activities," he added.
Shreehari Borikar, the National General Secretary of the ABVP said, "After the recent general elections, many changes have taken place in the country. Prior to the elections, the ABVP had worked in the mass voting campaign in various colleges; they have inspired the youth to take part in the elections. In this national executive council meet, we will discuss the Save Narmada campaign, giving importance to sports and support the tribal youth in sporting events; also include in the syllabus awareness about the north-east students."
"Targeting a respectable place in the 2020 Olympics, privatization and commercialization of education is also planned, because in the state universities, poor students are deprived of these facilities. All these issues will be discussed and a resolution will be presented," he added.
ABVP national secretary Vinay Bidre and Durgesh were present on the occasion.
