Mangalore, Jun 29: A young woman from Perne near Pajir of Konaje here has gone missing from Tuesday June 27.  Her lover too has gone missing from the same day giving indications of elopement.

Prajna (22), daughter of Ramchandra Poonja of Perne was in love with one Dinesh of Ambika Road for last one year.  Dinesh is an employee with a private TV channel at Tokkottu.

However, Prajna's parents were against their marriage owing to different castes.  While Prajna hailed from Bunts community, Dinesh belonged to another community.

They had come to know each other during Prajna's college days.  It is said that after Prajna's parents had warned her, the couple had planned to elope and get married.

Now that both have gone missing on the same day, it suspected that they have got married.  So both the families are expecting them to come back within a few days.  At the same time a complaint has been lodged with the Konaje police in this regard.
