Mangalore, Jun 27: Nagarika Seva Trust, Guruvayankere, in association with Krishikara Vedike Karnataka organized a 'Beeja Mela' (seed fair) on Monday June 26 here.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmeesha Tolpadi of Bharatiya Kisan Sangha lamented that globalization was a threat to traditional farmers.
There was a variety of seeds on display and attracted researchers, students and farmers from in and around the city.
Krishnaprasad of Greenpeace organization, Mamata D S Gatti, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat president and others were present at the farmers meet.
