Mangalore, Jun 22: S H Shivarudrappa has been appointed registrar of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy with immediate effect. He has already taken charge.
Though S H Shivarudrappa hails from Davangere it is almost like a home coming. He was the registrar of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy earlier. However, he was transferred as assistant director of Kannada and Cultural Department at Bellary in January 2005.
Eversince his transfer, Dr Duggappa Kajekar was working as registrar of Tulu as well as Konkani academies. Now with the arrival of Shivarudrappa Dr Duggappa Kajekar has been relieved from the responsibilities of Tulu academy.
