Mangalore: BJP thanks voters for helping district top state in poll turnout

Mangalore, Apr 18: “The BJP thanks all the voters and the Election Commission for its effort in helping Dakshina Kannada district top the state with a historical polling percentage of 77.19 percent. This time, a total of 87,772 more voters cast their franchise when compared to the previous elections. A large number of people who were previously not interested in voting have also enthusiastically participated in this election. The Modi wave and ‘Vote for India’ concept also worked in the district. There was good polling in constituencies like Sullia and Puttur,” said BJP district president Pratap Simha Nayak.



He was addressing the press meet at the district BJP office on Friday April 18.

Nayak also said, “This time, the BJP will win a majority of one lac votes compared to the previous election.”

Answering to reporters, he also said, “Efforts were made to attack the BJP candidate personally even in the last moments before the election. Though the opposition made such attempts, they have failed.”

Nayak also thanked the party workers for their efforts in the election. On this occasion, Kota Shrinivasa Poojary, Yogish Bhat, Rukmaya Poojary, Nagaraj Shetty, and G K Sulochana Bhat were present.
