Mangalore, Apr 18: Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R) Kulshekar Unit on behalf of Good Friday distributed fruits to Wenlock hospital at the children ward.

Mangalore city Corporation Mayor Mahabala Marla distributed fruits to the children said " I have known about the fact that the Catholic Sabha Kulshekar unit has been conducting such good deeds for the past couple of years. Today all over the world all Christians are observing Good Friday,  by abstinence, prayers, and social work; hence I really appreciate  what the  Catholic Sabha has done today."

He further added " Such good deeds as similar to the ones  Jesus had done in the past. Hence, my request to all the associations is to serve  the needy and the poor."

 He said that the doctors and staff  are treating the patients with good care and also  appreciated the cleanliness of the hospital. Therefore, people coming from all over Karnataka feel comfort and health needs provided which is great pride. 

President Edna Noronha welcomed and secretary Shantha D’souza proposed the vote of thanks . On this occasion RMO Irappa, Nursing superintendent Janaki, Nursing Tutor Prescilla Noronha and Catholic sabha Founder President M P Noronha , Cordel Parish Council secretery Michael D’souza, Past president Alban Pinto, Leo Mascarenhes, Sushil Noronha and office bearers Maria D’Souza, Alphonse D’souza, Swebert D’souza, Irene D’cunha  and other members were also present.

    Good Friday symbolizes sacrifice. On good Friday catholics generally participate in the way of cross and sympathies with miseries of jesus Christ but What is really required is to sympathise those persons who are suffering Now. Catholic sabha and the mayor has rightly done it. Well done

    Very meaningful way of Celebrating Good Friday and making others happy through our sacrifices. Society will benefit more and more if many other organisations follows these good Acts. Especially during all other Religious Feasts like Easter, Mother Mary's Feast & Christmas. God Bless You All.
