Mangalore: PFI condemns Ramanath Rai, seeks apology

Daijiworld Media Network—Mangalore (DV)

Mangalore, Apr 15: “The tension in Kalladka is not communal violence. It is a conflict between the BJP and the Congress given the colour of communal violence. Police have arrested innocent Hindu and Muslim youths. The PFI severely condemns this. The district-in-charge minster, prior to elections, said that it is a direct fight between Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and himself but he has failed to arrest him,” said Abdul Razak, state leader, PFI.

He was addressing the press in the city on Monday April 14.

“Ramanath Rai secured Muslim votes but insulted Muslims by calling SDPI and PFI activists half-Muslims. PFI severely condemns this. Rai should be ashamed for making such statements. He must apologize for his comment on Muslims,” said Razak stating the PFI would support SDPI.

On this occasion, Shareek Konaje and Akbar BC Road were present.
