Portico New York opens store in Goa


Panaji, April 14 (IANS): Portico New York opened its first store in Goa Monday to cater to the increasing density of lifestyle homes in the state known for its beach tourism, a top company official said.

Arun Bhawsingka, chief executive officer of the bed and bath soft furnishing company, said the store which was opened in Panaji was an addition to the 20 existing outlets in India.

"Goa is a huge market and customer base for us," Bhawsingka said.

He said there are plans to open more than 200 total touch points across retail chains and home furnishing outlets in the country.

A company statement said some of haute couture's biggest names in India like Manish Arora, Neeta Lulla and Nishka Lulla have brought in their design aesthetics to Portico New York's products in the country.
