Cowell fires James Arther for lyrics glorifying terrorism

London, April 7 (IANS): Singer James Arthur has been fired by music mogul Simon Cowell for lyrics which appear to glorify terrorism.

The "X Factor" winner's new song had a disturbing line: “I am going to blow your family up like I am a terrorist", which according to Cowell was not acceptable.

The 26-year-old singer has been kicked off Cowell’s Syco label after recording just one album, reports mirror.co.uk.

Arthur took to Twitter to express his anguish.

He tweeted: "@SimonCowell I should 'shut up and put out records or else this?"

Arther was previously accused of homophobia by his former friend Lucy Spraggan in December who he then branded her an “attention seeker.”

He was given a final warning by Syco bosses after embroiling in an online spat with glamour model Teddy Edwardes over lewd messages in February.
