Chennai, April 7 (IANS): Touted as the first Telugu anthology film, Praveen Sataru-directed "Chandamama Kathalu" will hit the screens worldwide April 25.
"The film was originally supposed to come out in March, but since we couldn't get a good number of theatres, we had to postpone the release. The film has been locked for April 25 and it will release," Chanakya Bhooneti, the film's producer, told IANS.
Featuring an ensemble cast of Lakshmi Manchu, Aamani, Naresh, Krishnudu and Chaitanya Krishna, the film has been titled after the children's book of the same name.
"I grew up listening to Chandamama Kathalu. My grandmother used to read them to me and I fondly remember them for the collection of stories in them. I decided to name my film after the book because my story is about the day-to-day experiences of multiple characters," director Praveen told IANS.
"There are multiple small stories in the larger story of my film. I thought this title would perfectly fit the bill, and therefore, I named it after the book".
