Panaji, Apr 2: Konkani writer and past president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Karnataka Paul Moras from Mangalore was given the 'Madhav Manjunath Shanbhague Konkani Bhasha Seva Puraskar - 2013' by the Goa Konkani Akademi recently here at the Black Box, Kala Akademi, Panaji.
Geeta Dharmarajan, convenor, Katha and president, Central Bal Bhavan was the chief guest for the function and bestowed the awards to the awardees including Paul Moras.
Vijayanan, chief secretary, Govt of Goa presided over the function. He called upon Konkani people to leave behind all the differences and work together with more enthusiasm for the upliftment of Konkani language.
Pundalik Naik, president, Goa Konkani Akademi, Bhushan Bhave, vice-president, secretary, Meghanath Parab were present.
