Bhatkal : Shivanand Naik withdraws nomination

Bhatkal, Apr 1: In an unexpected move, putting JD(S) party workers into shock Shivanand Naik, JD(S) candidate from Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha Constituency withdrew his nomination claiming that he has not received any funds from the party for the forthcoming elections.

After withdrawing his nomination from Karwar deputy commissioner, addressing the press Shivanand Naik said “I am hurt from this move; I shouldn’t have joined hands with JD(S). To contest in the elections we need money. I have already lost a huge sum due to these elections. I cannot contest elections without funds. I have to also look after my family."
