Chennai, March 30 (IANS): Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Telugu action-drama "Legend" has raked in Rs.7.4 crore on its opening day Friday in Andhra Pradesh. Thanks to its impressive release day numbers, trade pundits predict the film may register good opening weekend collections.
The film directed by Boyapati Srinu has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs.35 crore.
"The film collected Rs.7.4 crore on its release day in Andhra Pradesh. This has turned out to be the biggest film to release after the state's bifurcation and emerge victorious at the box-office," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
"There was a slight dip in collections on Saturday, nevertheless we can expect the opening weekend numbers to be anything beyond Rs.12 crore," he added.
"Legend" is an out-and-out 'mass masala' commercial entertainer featuring Balakrishna in double roles.
Produced by 14 Reels Entertainment, the film also features Sonal Chauhan, Radhika Apte, Jagapathi Babu and Kalyani in important roles.
