Mangalore, Mar 29: "Today a woman offers her son and her husband as soldiers to protect this land because of her love, respect, and patriotism towards this nation. BJP is the only party which has provided 33% reservation to women in its party and also in its various organizations," said Dr Tejaswini Ramesh.
She was addressing a women's convention organized by the BJP Mangalore North unit at Subramanya Sadhana here on Saturday March 29.
"Women need empowerment. We do not want reservation in the name of empowerment where women are used as a tool for politics," she said.
"There was a time when men told women whom to vote for; now women know who they need to vote. This time it is our responsibility to bring a stable government in the country to make this country a superpower. Congress is giving rice for Re 1, but it is only to show that 'there is poverty, at least we are giving rice'. Let chief minister Siddaramaiah start providing free rice gruel. The price of food grains is increasing," she added.
"Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life. Hindutva is the inherent power of this nation. We Hindus have with the concept of ‘live and let live’. Congress has involved in dividing the people on the basis of religion. Congress had agreed for the division of this nation but Jan Sangh and Hindu Mahasabha refused. Now this Congress is calling BJP and RSS as communal but those days it was Congress that had split this nation on communal lines. Congress is a pseudo secular party. Though the nation has a uniform civil code why is it not being practiced? If religion is more important than this nation, then its better to denounce such a religion," she said.
"Though the Pakistani soldiers violated the cease fire and beheaded Indian soldiers, the Congress government failed to take any action. We are not thirsty for war but when the enemy attacks us we need to retaliate suitably," she said.
"What is saffronization? Is it that preaching about Bhagath Singh or V D Savarkar? Today we only know about the history of a few people who fought for freedom but there were many who sacrificed their lives for this nation," she said.
"RSS did not appoint Narendra Modi as the BJP’s PM candidate. It was decided in the Kumbh Mela by various saints and religious leaders. Later RSS accepted their decision and asked the BJP to act on it. The nation needs a good leader," she added.
"Congress is not giving importance to Dalit community. America fears Modi because once he becomes the PM the value of the rupee will increase. We need to board the election 2014 flight with Modi as the pilot. We need to cross 277 seats by working hard for the party's victory," she said.
On this occasion Sulochana G K, Bhat state vice-president of BJP, Pulasya Rai, state secretary, Yogish Bhat, Ravishankar Mijar, Shailaja Bhat and others were present.
Sulochana Bhat also spoke on the occasion. Kathyayini Seetharam welcomed.
