Kuwait, Mar 24: After the stupendous success of three seasons of ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore’ (GVOM) - the mega Konkani singing talent hunt show, Youth Recreation Center, Kuwait is all geared up for the preliminary round of GVOM Season 4 to be held on Friday May 9 at RV Party hall, Avanti Palace Restaurant, Salmiya from 10 am onwards.
After the auditions, six male and six female singers will be selected for the semi-finals.
The Gulf Voice of Mangalore competition is open to all Konkani speaking people of Mangalorean origin, holding a valid Kuwait residence visa, born on or before May 9, 1996. The title holders of the previous three GVOM’s are restricted from participating in this season. The runners-up of all the seasons are permitted to try for the title this year.
The semi-finals of Gulf Voice of Mangalore season 4 will be held on September 19 this year at the American International School auditorium from 5 pm onwards. One male and one female finalist from Kuwait will be selected on this day and they will be participating in the grand finale to be held in Muscat, Oman on November 7 this year for the coveted title of 'GVOM-4'.
Started in 2008 with Season 1 in Kuwait, Season 2 in Dubai and Season 3 in Qatar, GVOM has become a sensation among Mangaloreans worldwide. Kuwait’s singing talents have won the coveted title of GVOM in all the three seasons - Season 1 (Vinay Lewis), female title winner of GVOM Season 2 (Gladys Lorenha), Mmale runner-up of GVOM season 2 (Warren D’Souza) and male title winner of GVOM Season 3 (Orson D'Souza).
The founders of GVOM Louis Rodrigues and Lawrence Pinto have requested all the talented Mangaloreans in the Gulf to participate in the biggest reality singing talent hunt show ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 4' and to make it as successful as the previous three seasons of GVOM.
